Personal Profile
Curtis was raised in Vancouver for most of his life, where he still resides with his wife Gayle and his King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Calvin.  He was awarded 2 Academic Merit Scholarships and graduated from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, where he earned his BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems.  He attended college with and earned the same degree as his identical twin Clint. During his free time, Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife, reading, martial arts, hunting, and skiing.  One of his greatest passions is writing.  He is currently writing his first novel, and is the leader of Writer’s Anonymous, a local writer’s critique group in Portland.  He also belongs to the Portland chapter of Willamette Writers, and to Pheasants Forever, where he volunteers his time for habitat conservation efforts.

Curtis began his mortgage career in 2005, just before the turn in the real estate market.  He soon became a top producer at each firm that he worked for, most recently achieving company-wide top 10 recognition.  During the Great Recession when thousands of loan officers left the industry, Curtis has thrived and consistently enjoyed his career best years.  This is due in large part to his unsurpassed dedication to his clients, and his profound knowledge of the mortgage industry and how it is evolving. His daily life is governed by a simple mantra – results are in direct proportion to the effort invested.  Anyone that has ever worked with Curtis can attest to his unwavering focus, communication skills and tenacious ability to build financing solutions for his clients.  Having enjoyed success as both a mortgage broker as well as a mortgage banker, Curtis brings a surgical cross section of the industry and a deep pool of in-the-trenches experience and knowledge to every transaction.  His goal is as simple as his mantra: to treat every client like they are the most important part of his day, because they are.
